What’s the best book you’ve read recently? “This Present Paradise” by Claire Dwyer
Have you always enjoyed running? No! I started running about 12 years ago, and it took me about 2 years to fall in love with it. Now I can’t go a few days without some miles.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? To finally participate with this group of women, and for such a great cause! I’ve never done the road Ragnar, only the Ragnar Trail so this is new & exciting!

Have you always enjoyed running?I’ve never been a big runner; I prefer hiking or a short jog followed by strength training.
Who inspires you? My Grandma Mary Lou. She is a beautiful, strong woman with a tremendous love for her family and a bold faith.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? The community of women I get to run with, the chance to promote FertilityCare and to help women feel knowledgeable and empowered in their bodies.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be? Jesus. I would love to be able to hug Him and spend quality time together.
If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go? it's always been a dream of mine to visit Hawaii.
What’s a small joy that makes your day better? Remembering I am a child of God; that everything I do is for Him and comes from Him.
Who inspires you? My boyfriend inspires me immensely. His hard work and active lifestyle motivate me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new challenges. He brings out the best in me, encouraging me to grow in all areas of life.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? I am most looking forward to getting to know more amazing women and challenging myself in a race I have never participated in before. I love trying new things, and this is an exciting new challenge for me.

If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be? Gardening
Have you always enjoyed running? Yes, I grew up running with my family. It became a source of quality time and outlet for competition.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? There are few opportunities in adulthood that you get to work as a team like you do in the Ragnar, few opportunities to be spend so much time with such a great group of women, and few opportunities to run for a cause that you are passionate about. The Ragnar is such an outlet to me.

Have you always enjoyed running? My fondness for it has grown through the years. I like the simple accessibility and versatility of it.
Who inspires you? People who have lives objectively full of pain, yet still radiate peace and joy.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? The lovely teammates! The daily training. Fresh air, sharing it with kids, and some extra motivation to pursue good health.
What is your why? Why did you commit to running on the Women Run for Women Team? For family, personal health, our daughters, freedom in fertility, and feminine fellowship.
Rachel Westphal
Hi, my name is Rachel Westphal!
Who makes up your family? Husband Aaron, our three boys (Henry, Louis, Theodore) and a baby on the way.
What’s your go-to pump-up song? My running playlist is so random! I have pump-up songs by Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, KC & the Sunshine Band, Hall and Oats, Taylor Swift and so many more!
What’s the best book you’ve read recently? I’ve recently gotten back into reading! My favorite recent reads are a reread of “All the Light you Cannot See”, “Murder on the Orient Express”, and “Time for God” (I can’t pick just one).
What’s a small joy that makes your day better? Seeing all my boys on the couch reading a book together.
Have you always enjoyed running? No, I started running for fun after I became a mom. I love being able to exercise outside and also listening to a book or podcast while I run.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? The comradery with my team members, the challenge of the Ragnar itself, and bringing more awareness of how awesome Northland FertilityCare and women’s cycle health truly is!

Who makes up your family? My Husband Chris, three daughters-13,11, and 10yrs, and four sons- 9, 7, 3 and one in Heaven.
What’s the best book you’ve read recently? The Light of His Eyes- Journeying from Self-Contempt to the Father's Delight. By Mother Iliana
If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go? Vienna Austria or Rome, Italy
Have you always enjoyed running? No, I still don't enjoy it but I do enjoy staying in shape and having the energy to play with my kids. I Love horseback riding and would do that all day everyday if I could :)
Who inspires you? My son Damian. He was born in 2019 with Trisomy 18. He lived with us for 4 weeks and then was called home to heaven. He reminds me that we are all called to live our lives to the fullest no matter how long or short that life might be. His life reminds me that our true home is in eternity, that we need to view everything through the lens of eternity. God, in his Divine providence will take care of us and only gives us good gifts!
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? I love the experience of working together with wonderful women to achieve big goals.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be? I asked one of the girls I nanny, and she said ‘helpful, generous, and kind’. Thanks Marie :)
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be? Skateboarding. I was pretty confident I could help someone learn, and I fell flat on my back!
What’s the best book you’ve read recently? I recently finished ‘Before We Were Yours’ by Lisa Wingate - I highly recommend it if you enjoy historical fiction.
If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go? Hmm, I honestly don’t love traveling all that much, but I’d love to head up north for some camping!
What’s a small joy that makes your day better? Definitely coffee!
Have you always enjoyed running? I haven’t always enjoyed running, but I really do love it now. In high school, I ran just to stay in shape for soccer. It wasn’t until college I started to enjoy running just to run.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay?I love the team aspect of Ragnar, and I’m looking forward to time with these amazing women!

Who makes up your family? My husband, Josh, and I have been married for what will be 15 years come November. We have two beautiful daughters, Zoey (9) and Violet(7).

What’s the best book you’ve read recently? The Father’s Tale by Michael D. O’Brien
What’s a small joy that makes your day better? My daughters’ genuine giggles.
Have you always enjoyed running? I’ve enjoyed the idea of running and always wanted to accomplish a goal like this. I also love walking, hiking and swimming.
Who inspires you? Women who have set their sights on a goal and completed it without losing themselves, their family or their Faith along the way.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? The camaraderie of the women and the challenge.

Hi, my name is Gwyn Walter
Who makes up your family? My husband Brian and our 7 children, Anna 20, Josh 18, Eleanor 15, Greta 13, Ilsa 11, Sebastian 8, Jakob 5
What are some things you enjoy? I love family adventures: traveling (especially road trips), hiking, finding new places and things to experience together, sports and being active. I also really love live music and spending time outside. The best is doing something that combines all of these! Being active with friends and family.
Have you always enjoyed running? No! I didn't enjoy running until after college. After we had our first child, Brian and I decided to run a marathon together. I loved it and ran another. (Brian coached track for another 20 years after that, but barely ran again). I have participated in some triathlons as well to mix up my activity.

What’s a small joy that makes your day better? Getting all my documentation done before leaving work...lame but true.
What are you most looking forward to with regards to the Ragnar Relay? Being with my Ragnar family!!!! I love these women!!! Also to train-I like a plan and a goal.
